Visibility Tracker

And the bots it sends first.

Website analytics built for AI search. Pageviews, visitors and referrers like any analytics tool, plus the two numbers the others leave out: people arriving from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, and the AI crawlers reading your pages.

Tracker records the source, page, browser, device and country of each visit. It never stores IP addresses.

What it tracks

AI search is a traffic source. Measure it like one.

Traditional analytics lumps AI assistants in with every other referrer and never sees crawlers at all. Tracker reports both on their own.

AI referrals

Visitors who came from an AI answer

Referrals from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI and more get their own report, so AI traffic stops hiding inside "direct" and generic referrers.

AI crawlers

The bots that read your pages first

Crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Meta and more: which pages they read, how often, and whether the page loaded for them.

Why a connection

Crawlers skip analytics scripts

Analytics scripts never see a bot that does not load them. Connect your hosting once and crawler visits are reported as they happen, so the numbers are real, not a guess.

And the analytics you already expect.

One lightweight script covers the everyday numbers, so you do not need a second tool next to it.

Pageviews, visitors and sessions

Including single-page apps: route changes count as pageviews without extra setup.

Top pages

Which pages people land on and read, per domain.

Referrers and campaigns

Where visitors came from, with UTM source, medium and campaign.

Devices, browsers and OS

Desktop, mobile or tablet, and the browser and operating system behind each visit.

Custom events

One line of code records a signup, a download or a checkout, with any details you want to attach.

Bot traffic filtered out

Automated browsers and bots are kept out of your visitor numbers. AI crawlers are counted separately instead.

How it works

Set up in minutes. Crawlers in a few more.

  1. 1

    Add your domain

Create a workspace and add the site you want to measure.

  2. 2

    Paste one script tag

Add it to your site’s <head>. Pageviews, referrers and AI referrals start recording straight away.

    <script defer src="https://bombus.visibilitykit.app/bombus.js"
      data-site="bk_…"></script>
  3. 3

Optional: report AI crawlers from your server

Connect your hosting in a few clicks or add a short snippet to your server. Only AI crawler visits are reported.

Cloudflare, Vercel and WordPress connect in a few clicks.

Privacy and consent

Measure your traffic without tracking people across the web.

First-party cookies only

A visitor cookie and a 30-minute session cookie, set on your own domain. No third-party cookies and no cross-site profiles.

Consent mode for EU sites

Turn on consent mode and the script sets no cookie and sends nothing until the visitor accepts your cookie banner.

Paths, not full URLs

Pages are stored by path. IP addresses are not stored.

Consent mode

  1. 1

    A visitor arrives

No cookie is set and nothing is sent.

  2. 2

    They accept your cookie banner

Tracking starts from that page on.

  3. 3

    They change their mind

Tracking switches off again straight away.

Questions, answered.

How is this different from Google Analytics?

Tracker reports AI assistants as their own traffic source instead of mixing them into referrals, and it records AI crawler visits, which other analytics tools never see. It is also a single lightweight script with first-party cookies and an optional consent mode.

Which AI assistants are recognised as referrers?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI, Mistral, You.com, Poe, Phind and more. New assistants are added as they appear.

Which AI crawlers are recognised?

Crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Meta, DuckDuckGo, Mistral, ByteDance and Common Crawl, covering both training and live-answer visits. The list is kept up to date as new crawlers appear.

Do I need the server snippet?

Only for AI crawler visits. Pageviews, visitors, referrers, AI referrals and custom events all come from the script tag. Crawlers do not run scripts, so they are recorded by a short connection on your hosting or server; the setup page walks you through it.

Will the script slow my site down?

No. The script is tiny and loads in the background, so it does not hold up your pages.

Does it work with single-page apps?

Yes. Client-side route changes are counted as pageviews automatically.

Is it GDPR-friendly?

It uses first-party cookies only and does not store IP addresses. For sites that need consent before any cookie is set, consent mode sends nothing until the visitor agrees. Whether you need a banner depends on your setup; we do not give legal advice.

How much will it cost?

There is a free plan for one site that stays free within its limits, with every core AI report included. Paid plans add more sites, larger human-event and AI-crawler allowances and longer history, billed monthly; extra sites can be added to any paid plan. Current prices are listed under Pricing.

How does it relate to VisibilityKit Intelligence?

Intelligence measures how AI assistants answer questions about your brand. Tracker measures what happens on your own site: the visitors those answers send and the crawlers that read your pages. They are separate products.

Visitors from AI assistants and the crawlers behind them, next to the analytics you already use. Set up in a couple of minutes.
